School Holiday Workshops – Terms and Conditions

SCHOOL HOLIDAY WORKSHOPS

Terms and Conditions for a SCHOOL HOLIDAY booking:

School holiday booking for a minor from 10-17 years

General/Bookings:

The DEVELOP Photography Skills School Holiday Workshops operate during specific dates during the school holidays.

Upfront payment for each session is required at the time of booking. If fees are not paid, your booking will be cancelled, and your child will not be able to participate in the program.

Parents/guardians are not required to be present for the duration of the sessions but must always be on call in case DEVELOP Photography Skills staff need to get in contact. Parents/guardians must be available for pick-up upon request, or be able to communicate with DEVELOP regarding an alternative pick up person if required. Participants are required to remain with the group at all times unless otherwise notified by a parent or guardian.

To ensure a safe and smooth drop-off and pick-up process, parents/guardians must follow the sign-in (8:45am to 9:00am) and sign-out (3:50pm to 4:00pm) procedures:

  • Sign-in and sign-out is mandatory for all participants. Parents/guardians must sign their child in and out on the attendance sheet at each session OR provide written communication about the movements of the participant and agreed by DEVELOP Photography Skills prior to the workshop commencement.
  • The responsible adult signing the child in and out must be over the age of 18 years, provide photo ID, and be an approved contact on the child’s profile.
  • If a different adult will sign out the child, their name must be noted on the attendance sheet at sign-in, and they must provide photo ID at pick-up. Written notification is required if you authorise another adult to sign your child in or out. This must be provided in advance via email to admin@developphotographyskills.com
  • Court Orders: If there is a legal order restricting a specific individual from having access to the child, a copy of the order must be provided to DEVELOP Photography Skills to ensure the child’s safety.

DEVELOP Photography Skills may change the program structure, content, or required equipment at any time.

Participants should be physically and medically able to take part in the workshops and follow instructions. Parents/guardians accept the inherent risks associated with creative and photography-based activities.

Participants must behave appropriately and respectfully during the workshops. Any disruptive, dangerous, or inappropriate behaviour that poses a risk to themselves, equipment, or others may result in parents/guardians being contacted for immediate collection. Future bookings may be refused.

Photography & Media Consent:

As this is a photography-based course, participants will likely be photographed during the sessions as part of practical exercises and learning activities. By signing up for the workshop, parents/guardians acknowledge and give permission for their child to be photographed during the course.

Participants will also be guided on ethical photography practices, including:

  • Respecting privacy – Understanding that consent must be given before capturing or sharing images of others.
  • Online safety – Participants will be instructed not to share images online, in public forums, or on social media without the explicit consent of the person in the image.

While DEVELOP Photography Skills will educate participants on these best practices, we are not liable if these instructions are not followed by attendees. It is the responsibility of participants and their guardians to ensure that images are shared responsibly. If you have concerns regarding media permissions, please contact us before the session.

Lunch and Snacks:

Participants are required to bring their own lunch, snacks, and a water bottle for the duration of the session.
Please avoid bringing foods that may contain common allergens, as some participants may have allergies.

Health & Wellbeing:

If a participant becomes unwell, please do not send them to the session. Please contact us and discuss the situation prior to session and an action plan will be made. If a child displays signs of illness during the workshop, parents/guardians will be contacted and required to collect them immediately.

Medical Conditions/Allergies:

Parents/guardians must provide any Medical Information at the time of booking, or prior to the commencement of the session, and provide a copy of the child’s action plan for any medical condition, illness, or allergy.

DEVELOP Photography Skills must be notified of any medical conditions and/or allergies prior to attending a workshop.

Parents/guardians give DEVELOP Photography Skills staff permission to seek emergency medical services and call an ambulance if required.

All staff hold a valid Working with Children Check, but parents/guardians understand that staff are not necessarily trained in managing medical conditions or disabilities outside of standard first aid training. We are an unlicensed venue under the Education and Care Regulatory Unit (ECRU) – (Western Australian Government – Department of Communities). This program is not an approved education or care service and does not require provider or service approval. As a result, the child care subsidy does not apply to this program.

Please contact us on 0476 550 917 if you have any queries.

We look forward to seeing you at our DEVELOP Photography Skills School Holiday Workshops!
