Terms & Conditions

 DEVELOP Photography Skills – Short Courses, Information Sessions, and Workshops (from here on termed as “Training”) are operated by DEVELOP Training Australia.

 These Terms & Conditions (“Terms” or “Agreement”) apply to all Training purchases. Failure to comply with these terms will result in your order being declined.

 By booking Training you are entering into this agreement and agree to abide and be bound by these terms and conditions. If you have any questions or concerns, contact us.

GENERAL

1. When purchasing Training through this website, you agree that you are purchasing directly from DEVELOP Photography Skills and not any 3rd parties or partners that Karen McGlue or DEVELOP Photography Skills works with. Any and all inquiries regarding your purchase must be made directly to DEVELOP Photography Skills.
2. DEVELOP Photography Skills is entitled to change the venue or make changes to the structure of the workshop. In the unlikely event that changes are made there will be notice made to all attendees as soon as possible.
3. Please take note of the date, time and venue for this training. Due to weather or other operational requirements sessions may have to change venue, participants will be notified by email and text in the event this were to occur.
4. If multiple sessions are offered be aware that they may be offered at different venues to facilitate training in numerous environments, participants will be notified of proposed venues on the booking and at the first training session.
5. Training does not include travel or accommodations. The purchaser understands that they are responsible for their own travel to get to the Training. During the course the purchaser is to take note of different training venues for each session of the Training.
6. Attendees should arrive on time and attend each session in full. If you are unable to attend you must contact us immediately. You are not entitled to a refund if, because of your lateness you miss all or a portion of the Training.
7. Training fees must be paid in full at the time of purchasing, or unless otherwise noted.
8. If the Training has an option for multiple payments or deposit, attendees must satisfy payments within 14 days prior to the Training commencing, unless otherwise noted. Failure to do so may result in forfeiture of your booking and a cancellation fee.
9. The Training may include participants showing images that they have taken, research for mood boards or images that they have taken for the Training. When purchasing a booking in the Training you ensure that you will not show images that are inappropriate, involve explicit nudity, harm of people or animals, or graphic or horrific in nature. Participants who wish to show images that involve Fine Art Nude, imply graphic scenes, or involve a political message agree to discuss this with DEVELOP Photography Skills employees PRIOR to the Training session, not as the session commences or during the training session. Failure to comply with these terms will result in the participant being removed from the Training with no entitlement for a refund.
10. If behaviour or conduct is deemed unacceptable or inappropriate, you will be asked to leave the workshop. No refund of fees will be made.

FEES & Cancellations/Refunds

• Cancellation/refund requests outside of our standard cancellation policy (see ‘Cancellation Policy’ section above) and will be at the discretion of DEVELOP Photography Skills.

  Any requests will only be considered in writing via email to admin@developphotographyskills.com with a response within 14 days.

  Please note that repeated refund and cancellation requests for multiple Training will be at the sole discretion of DEVELOP Photography Skills to honour.  

TRANSFERRING TO ANOTHER WORKSHOP

You may request transfer to another Training if we deem there is a reasonable amount of time for us to fill your spot. Transfer requests are at the sole discretion of DEVELOP Photography Skills. We are unable to honour transfer requests if the Training you are transferring to is already full.

WORKSHOP CANCELLATIONS

DEVELOP Photography Skills reserves the right to cancel Training due to unforeseen circumstances, illness or other, but provide a reasonable amount of time in advance to make alternate arrangements for attendees.
In the unlikely event that we cancel Training, DEVELOP Photography Skills will notify you as soon as possible and any payments for the booking received from you will be refunded.
Please note that DEVELOP Photography Skills will not refund travel or accommodation costs for cancelled courses. If you intend on travelling to attend any Training we would advise taking out travel insurance for airfare, and booking a hotel with a suitable cancellation policy.

MAKING CHANGES TO YOUR BOOKING

Bookeo (the booking software our websites links to) allows changes to your attendance within timeframes printed on your email confirmation and the terms and conditions for the Training type that you have purchased. If you are having difficulties with making these changes please contact us.

IMAGE USE & PRIVACY

1. Attendees are not permitted to use images taken at the Training for commercial purposes, unless otherwise stated during the Training. Image usage is strictly portfolio use only (website and online). Social media usage is allowed but only to showcase your portfolio or the skills you have learnt.
    Images must not be submitted to competitions, magazines, exhibitions or competitions without permission. Images must not be used to advertise photo shoots, workshops/training or products that you are selling, (unless otherwise stated in specific training session types).
2. You acknowledge that we have advised you that none of the participants in the Training have given releases allowing commercial use of any images taken at the Training and that you may be subject to legal liability if you use any images commercially. You agree to indemnify and defend DEVELOP Photography Skills, its members, officers and employees and all other participants in the Training from any claims, losses, costs or expenses (including Lawyers’ fees and disbursements) arising out of or relating to any claim that you have used an image taken at the Training in any manner that is not permitted in this Agreement.
3. If you are unsure about what is a permitted usage, please contact DEVELOP Photography Skills for confirmation; provided that, you shall not be relieved of any obligations under paragraph 2, above.

Attendees must not film, photograph speakers or record the workshop at any time without permission.

LIBALITY

DEVELOP Photography Skills is not responsible for any personal injury or damage to property arising from incidents occurring at the Training venue.

Please be aware of where you keep your belongings at the Training and please remember to check your equipment at the end of the Training so you do not leave anything behind. We are not responsible for loss of, or damage to, your personal property.

The Contract contains all the terms agreed between you and DEVELOP Photography Skills and supersedes any discussions or other information previously provided concerning the Training.

By completing the transaction for this workshop, you are agreeing to these terms.
